About

Hello, you must be new here!

I started this blog as a young girl, fresh out of trauma, naive and whimsical.

I am nothing like I was then.

I love to write, but don’t get much time for it anymore since I turned into a mother in 2019. But I still pop on here periodically and attempt to save my writing skills by publishing a scribbled little piece.

This blog is where I put the parts of my brain that need a shelf.

Welcome! I’d love to hear a bit about you!

  1. I love your about page and your blog. You’re so raw and I admire that a lot. Your work is great as well. Definitely giving you a follow.

I’m just another human being on a quest to find one’s purpose. My ultimate goal is to become the best version of who I can possible be. I’m not quite sure about exactly what my dreams and aspirations are, but I love to write, to read, travel, take pictures, and music. Perhaps, I am truly no different from the rest of humanity. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work.

  2. Hello. I just say your comment on Tric’s “My Thoughts on a Page” site and was intrigued by your name. I was both relieved and disappointed that your real name is not Ms. Bream and your parents did not call you Ocean. A bream is a kind of fish, isn’t it? I hope you don’t mind my asking how you came to select this interesting name for your blog.

    • Hello to you too! Thank you for your comment! 🙂 And welcome to my blog. Well back in 2011 when I was still green about the world, I read a beautiful book called ‘The Spellbook of Listen Taylor’, and there was a sentence in that book that went, “How is your ocean bream, my love?”. It fascinated me because I had never heard of this ‘ocean bream’ before and I imagined it was something magical and beautiful, like the end of a rainbow or the shimmery light you can see when water reflects the sunlight! I was too scared to look it up because I worried it would be something mundane and all the magic would disappear. When I did find out that ocean bream was just a fish, I decided that it wasn’t such a bad name for a fish and adopted the name for my blog because, if you ignore the fishy bit, ‘ocean bream’ is such a fanciful name! 🙂

  3. Greetings … Frank here from Cincinnati. I like to think … but probably too much at times. I try to be honest and friendly, but others seem to make doing so difficult. I’ve been blogging longer than the average blogger, and enjoy interacting with the others who stop by my little corner of the world, which is quite eclectic.

    • Greetings and salutations, Frank. It is nice to hear from and about you. People do seem to make honesty and friendliness difficult, don’t they. I hope you persevere, though, and manage to break through that tough cellulose wall! I like to think our minds are very eclectic and to have that reflected in your writing is art indeed 🙂
